Donations Instead of Gifts
Following our tradition, this year, instead of sending individual gifts, we've chosen to spread joy through a collective donation. What makes this year extra special is that we are teaming up with Pointsharp!
This year we have donated to the organization "UNICEF emergency aid in crisis regions". We hope to make people happy in a very different way and are happy to have the opportunity to support charitable organizations and projects that can use this money very well.
UNICEF
Many children are currently having a harder time than ever. Wars and natural disasters plunge families around the world into dire straits, and poverty and hunger put children at risk.
As an aid organization, UNICEF provides emergency aid worldwide to help children and families quickly. They bring urgently needed relief supplies such as therapeutic food and hygiene articles to crisis regions and organize medical aid that cannot be delayed. Worldwide, UNICEF provides around 300 emergency relief missions every year, for example in Ukraine, Yemen and in many regions of the world that are less in the public eye.
Where children are in urgent need of help, their teams are there to help them. In 2022, for example, they were able to provide clean water to 25.9 million children and families in crisis regions.

2022
Last year, our donation went to Doctors Without Borders.
With emergency medical aid, the organization "Doctors Without Borders" saves human lives where help is needed most urgently. They act with the conviction that every person has a right to health care. It does not matter to the organization what origin, political conviction, or ethnic affiliation these people have. What counts for them is their need only. With the organization's charter, helpers commit themselves to medical ethics and humanitarian principles. These are impartiality, neutrality, and independence.
2021
The year before our donation went to the children's emergency ambulance project of the German Red Cross Karlsruhe District Association.
The children's emergency ambulance of the DRK Karlsruhe has been in operation since November 2003. In cooperation with the Karlsruhe Municipal Hospital, the pediatric emergency ambulance is on the road with qualified pediatric emergency doctors and nurses in the city and district of Karlsruhe. The ambulance is equipped with special medical equipment for pediatric emergencies and is specially designed for children's care. During the more than 1000 missions per year, the mascot Erwin is always on board. The project relies on donations to cover the equipment and running costs.
